[Event Report] Welcome Reception for 2024 Fulbright American Grantees
Last week, an orientation and welcome reception for newly arrived 2024 American Fulbright grantees were held.
At the reception on September 10, 2024, remarks were given by The Honorable Yasue Nobuo, Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, and the U.S. Embassy's Deputy Chief of Mission Katherine Monahan. The toast was given by Mr. Glenn S. Fukushima (1982 Graduate Research Fellow Program).
A wide range of participants, including Mr. Yasushi Akashi (1955 Graduate Study Program), former Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations, was there to meet and welcome the new grantees.
It was an opportunity for the Fulbrighters to make new connections and deepen ties to the Fulbright Japan Community.
