Advanced Notice on 2026 Fulbright Grant Announcement for Japanese Applicants

We will release the 2026 Fulbright Grant Announcement for Japanese applicants in late February.

There are two significant changes for the 2026 competition:

1) For the Graduate Study Program, those who are anticipated to receive a Bachelor's degree by March 31, 2026 will be eligible to apply. (Previously, only those who already held a Bachelor’s degree at time of application were eligible.)
2) For the Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant (FLTA) Program, the application period will be open earlier from previous years, and its deadline for registration will move up to May 1, 2025.

The official announcement (full version) of the 2026 Fulbright Grant Announcement for Japanese applicants will be released in late February 2025. Questions will be accepted after its release.
